Intellect

Some seek to live the Christlike Life through their natural Intellectual abilities ... increasing in their Knowledge concerning God, but never encountering the Living God Himself! Their Knowledge gives them Information about God, but not Intimacy with Him! Make no mistake about it, God desires for us to grow in our Knowledge of Him, but when this Knowledge comes by the Spirit of Christ, it results in a growing Intimacy with Him, not just information about Him. So we do well to heed the following Scripture:

Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;"

Proverbs 28:26

"He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.

Isaiah 2:22

"Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?"
