The Gifts of the Spirit

1. Apostle ~ the special ability to plant churches and exercise leadership over them with an extraordinary authority in spiritual matters.

2. Prophet ~ the supernatural ability to receive and communicate an immediate message from God to His people.

3. Evangelist ~ the special ability to share the Gospel with non believers and lead them to Christ.

4. Pastor-Teacher ~ the special ability to oversee, teach, train and care for the needs of a group of believers.

5. Word of Knowledge ~ the special ability to supernaturally know certain facts previously unknown and/or unknowable.

6. Word of Wisdom ~ the special ability to know how given knowledge may best be applied to specific needs in the church.

7. Faith ~ the special ability to discern with extraordinary confidence the will and purpose of God, and to believe Him for it!

8. Healing ~ the special ability to cure illness and restore health apart from natural means.

9. Miracles ~ the special ability to perform powerful acts that are seen by observers to have altered the ordinary course of nature.

10. Discernment of Spirits ~ the special ability to know with assurance whether certain behavior, supposedly of God, is in reality divine, human or Satanic.

11. Tongues ~ the special ability to speak a language never learned.

12. Interpretation ~ the special ability to know the message of one who speaks in tongues.

13. Service ~ the special ability to identify and meet unmet needs in the work of God.

14. Teaching ~ the special ability to make clear the truths of God with accuracy and simplicity in a way that others will learn.

15. Exhortation ~ the special ability to share words of comfort, encouragement and counsel with others in such a way that they feel helped and healed.

17. Giving ~ the special ability to abundantly provide material support for the work of God.

16. Leadership ~ the special ability to discern the will of God and to motivate and organize believers to work in harmony and voluntarily to accomplish that will.

18. Mercy ~ the special ability to experience and share compassion with those in affliction, trial or pain.
