Let me ask you: "Are you satisfied with your life? Or do you yearn for more? For a true loving relationship with another? For utmost confidence in your future? For complete fulfillment in your life? Jesus promised all of this. In fact, He came in order that we might experience Life to its Fullest! The following Applications, based on the Principles from our Study, will help you live the Fullest Life God created you for.

There is no shame in admitting our need for God! Too often we try to ignore the "God shaped vacuum" within and pretend we're really all right; filling our lives with activities or acquiring things to entertain us, when all the while we are crying on the inside. We're empty, we're lonely and even scared! We yearn for Love, search for Hope and seek to believe in something real, permanent and fulfilling.

Admit and Identify your need. Maybe it's Self-Worth, the need to be Loved just as you are? Or Security ... the need to have genuine Hope and Security in your future? Or perhaps Significance ... the need for Faith to believe your life has meaning and value?

Admitting your Need is the first step, ...but it is a step in the right direction!

The deception of the things of this World is that they meet our needs for a while. As the "Principle of Diminishing Return" teaches, we must seek more and more from the World in order to gain the same amount of enjoyment in our lives.

Think back to when you were a child. Back then little things brought a lot of joy ... but then as you grew and matured, more was required to bring the same amount of joy! Despair sets in when we have acquired much, but still ache with the pain of emptiness.

Evidence of this is found in America. Though America has been blessed with great material abundance, the signs of discontent abound. The divorce rate hovers near 50%, drug use is rampant, suicide is one of the leading causes of death among the young, credit cards are maxed out, and rage is the growing epidemic ... on the roads, in the homes, at the work places, even when at play. Americans, like everyone else, have fallen for the deception of satan ... that the things of this World can fill that "God shaped vacuum" in our hearts. People will fail us and things will wear out. They can never fill our deepest need ... and they never will!

So decide right now to stop trying to fill your spiritual needs with the things of this World.

Jesus alone perfectly fills the "God shaped vacuum" in our hearts! He fills our need for Love with a relationship based on His perfect unconditional Love for us. He meets our need for Security by promising to be with us and provide for our daily needs. He satisfies our need for Fulfillment by calling us to become God's children with a place in His Eternal Kingdom!

The choice to seek happiness and fulfillment in Christ is not a once and for all decision. It must be made moment by moment, day by day, and every time satan tempts us to return to the World! The key is to view all things in light of God's eternal Kingdom. Remember, God has bought us for Himself with the life of His Son, so that we might glorify Him through our lives. We therefore have an obligation to live a life pleasing to God, to which He will hold us accountable, and for which He will reward us!

A Prayer

Dear Father God, I know that there is no genuine fulfillment in Life except in You alone. And that satan always seeks to deceive me to seek for Life in the things of this world. But I know and believe that only You can fulfill my need for true Love, absolute Security and complete Fulfillment. I, therefore, commit myself to seek to fulfill my need by faith in You alone and to live for Your eternal Kingdom! In Jesus' Name, Amen!

When you learn to draw your happiness and fulfillent from God, no one will ever be able to take them away from you. You will not need the things of this world to make you happy, for you will have learned what it is to be content in any and every situation that life throws at you. That is Real Living!
