Confess

Confess translates a Greek word that is actually a compound word, Homologeo: Homo (the same) & Logeo (to say). Homologeo thus means "to say the same" or "to agree".

When we sin, it is tempting to justify our actions or attitudes. Sometimes we even try to excuse them. But when we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with Him that we have sinned. No rationalizing, no justifying, no excuses.

"Yes, Lord, I did sin. I agree with You!"
