The two greek words translated Eternal Life literally mean life without beginning or end. But it would be erroneous to think this was the full extent of their expression. It must be remembered that both Believers and Unbelievers will live forever. It is not the extent of life that is in question, but the quality of that life. Because the word Eternal is associated with the Eternal God, it connotes more than life eternal, but the life of the Eternal One. Those who believe in Christ also possess the Spirit of the Living God Who quickens their spirits, fills them with His Life, Love and Power ... and calls them His children! Now that's Eternal Life!
